After a day of indulgence and a big Thanksgiving dinner, Fat Friday rather than Black Friday has become a tradition at the B.R. Ryall YMCA of Northwestern DuPage County. The Y will host an open house for the public on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 5:00 am – 10:00 pm.
For all the Black Friday deal seekers, the day will begin with the Y’s best membership promotion of the year. From 5:00 – 10:00 am only, the Y will offer $0 joiner fee and two months of free membership. That’s a savings of up to $332. The rest of the day can be spent swimming, playing basketball, working out in our Wellness Center, joining a group exercise class, jogging on the indoor track, playing racquetball, exploring the climbing wall and more.
When dealing with life’s daily demands, it’s important that individuals have support they can lean on. Adults need help finding balance in life and managing their health. Children need safe environments where they’re nurtured and motivated to reach their full potential. Seniors need a place where they can be active and find camaraderie. Families need opportunities and places to connect and strengthen relationships with one another. The Y has something for everyone.
Join us on Fat Friday, November 23, 2012 and see for yourself all that the Y has to offer. The possiblilies are as endless as how good you’ll feel.

More About B.R. Ryall YMCA
B.R. Ryall YMCA is a nonprofit human services agency that serves seven communities in Northwestern DuPage County including Glen Ellyn. As part of its mission to build strong kids, families and communities, this YMCA offers childcare, scholarships, community activities and a wide range of fitness programs. Affordable memberships include unlimited access to its facilities, which include a Climbing Center, two swimming pools and a 10,000 square foot Wellness Center equipped with treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, stationary bikes, stair climbers, free weights and three-lane indoor track.
Childcare services include a year-round pre-school and half-day childcare with pick-up and drop-off services. Before- and after-school care is available for students in first through fifth grade.
