Triblocal reports that two candidates seeking seats on the Park District Board have dropped out of the race. Don Stuffelbeam and Hugh Johnson withdrew recently, slimming the race down to Board President Ed Hess, Richard Dunn, Catherine Galvin, Kathy Cornell and Gary Mayo. Johnson cited a Park District Board policy that would prevent his wife, who works at the park district, from working there if he was elected to the board. Stuffelbeam said his interest has simply faded. See the full story here.
