'Book of Mormon' Standby Star Hails from Glen Ellyn, Wheaton

Rob Colletti, a native of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn and St. Francis High School grad, is now part of the "Book of Mormon" cast at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago, the Daily Herald reports.

A man who grew up in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn is now a standby star for the lead role of Elder Cunningham in the musical, The Book of Mormon at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago, according to a recent feature in the Daily Herald. For eight shows a week, Rob Colletti go goes to the theatre and sits in the dressing room, ready to fill in for Ben Platt in the case of an emergency, according to the Herald. Since the show opened in December, Colletti played the part five times while Platt was out of town, the St. Francis High School alum told the Herald. Glenbard South to Present '12 Angry Jurors'

Glenbard South theatre will present "12 Angry Jurors" by Reginald Rose on April 18, 19 and 20.

The Making of a Folk Art Show: 'Early Illinois Folk Art 1825-1925'

Folk Art exhibit, "Early Illinois Folk Art 1825-1925" opens Saturday, April 13 at the DuPage County Historical Museum in Wheaton.

This is one of the things Sara Arnas, curator at the DuPage County Historical Museum, appreciates most about the museum’s latest exhibit. “We wanted to do something unique,” Arnas said. “Very little has been done on folk art, but there is fascinating history in these everyday items.”  “Early Illinois Folk Art, 1825-1925” took more than two years to organize. It is the largest changing exhibit the museum has ever presented, occupying three floors of displays, with over one-hundred items loaned from private collectors and museums across the country.
