Wilco Coming to FifthThird Bank Ballpark! Presale Tickets Start April 4

Grammy-winning alternative rock band has July 8 gig in Geneva.

 

Fans of the Chicago-based American alternative rock band Wilco will be pleased to learn that that band has a gig this summer in Geneva.

The group is touring all over the world, from Florida to Barcelona to Dublin, but the Grammy-Award-winning band is coming home for a little respite before heading off to Sweden, Germany and the UK.

Wilco will be playing at the FifthThird Bank Ballpark on July 8.

According to the Wilco website, presale tickets are available starting 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, and officially go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7. Visit here for tickets and a list of shows.

According to Wikipedia, Wilco won two Grammy Awards for 2004's A Ghost Is Born, including Best Alternative Music Album. Wilco's most recent studio album, The Whole Love, was released in September 2011.

Thanks to Wilco for playing my request: "Candyfloss", a never-released outtake from the "Summerteeth" sessions, though you can view the independent video on You Tube. Wilcoworld.net offers a drop-down menu of songs, fans can request for specific shows. Jeff Tweedy announced "...we've enterered a deeper-cut portion of the set", and they ROCKED CANDY's world. The WHOLE LOVE to my wife.

The concert last night was fantastic - The Congregatin, Andrew Bird, and Wilco all sounded great. The park is a great venue - I am so hoping that we it being used this way more in the future.
