Police Make Arrests for Wacky Weed and Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glen Ellyn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Theft under $500: A male juvenile was charged Dec. 12 at Glenbard West High School after a victim claimed the juvenile stole a mobile phone out of his backpack.

On Dec. 14 a 14-year-old juvenile was cited for stealing an i-Pod from the backpack of a classmate at Glenbard West.

Retail Theft: On Dec. 16 police were dispatched to Dominick’s on Roosevelt Road after employees reported the theft of six bottles of alcohol valued at $252.16 by unknown perpetrators.

That same day police responded to the report of a theft of two packs of cigarettes valued at $8.35 at Walgreens, 840 N. Main St. 

Possession of Cannabis: Glen Ellyn Police made several arrests for possession of marijuana.

On Dec. 14 a police officer on duty at Glenbard West cited a 16-year-old female juvenile for possession of the illegal drug.

That same day officers charged 20-year-old Frankie Longstreet, 5215 W Vanburen St, Chicago, for possession of marijuana at Dominick’s on Roosevelt Road.

Later that night officers responded to a noise complaint at 11 Briar St. and charged four individuals of the same address for possession of cannabis and consumption of alcohol by a minor. Eric Geuvera Jr., 22, was issued a citation for Occupant Responsibility and Possession of Cannabis. Momudu Sluwar, 19, Gregory Efiom, 20, and Mary Connolly, 18, were issued citations for underage drinking.

Theft under $500: A laptop was reported stolen from Sarets Treasures of Hope, 449 N. Main St. Dec. 14.

Domestic Battery: Glen Ellyn Police arrested Nathaniel L. Haas, 945 Forest Drive, on Dec. 15. The incident occurred at 332 Pennsylvania Ave. Haas was taken to DuPage County Jail. 

Possession of a Controlled Substance: While speaking with James P. Laloggia, 1110 Evergreen Drive, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn officers observed drug equipment on the front seat of Laloggia’s vehicle. Laloggia was charged with a two count felony complaint and transported to DuPage County Jail.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle: Police are searching for unknown individuals who entered an unlocked vehicle on the 300 block of Chesterfield and stole $20 in cash and coins. The break-in occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Dec. 16 and 1 p.m. Dec. 17.

DUI: Glen Ellyn Police charged Michael Landers, 0N754 Pleasant Hill Dr., Wheaton, with a DUI on Dec. 11.

Also on Dec. 16 police stopped a 17-year-old female for driving under the influence. She was issued traffic citations for Operating a Motor Vehicle Outside the Permitted Driving Restriction Time and Improper Lane Usage.
