Possession

Michael L. McCaleb Jr., 34, of the 1 S 700 block of Danby Drive, was arrested at 2:53 a.m. in the 600 block of Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn Police said. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding.

SATURDAY, AUG. 11

Driving Under the Influence

Jehad A. Hamdan, 41, of the 300 block of Harris Avenue, Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. at Main Street and Roosevelt Road, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence and failure to signal.

Suspended License

Richard H. Atwood, 44, of the 800 block of East Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, was arrested at 9:56 p.m. at Park Avenue and Roosevelt Road, police said. He was charged with a traffic signal violation and driving while his license was suspended.

FRIDAY, AUG. 10

Obstructing Justice

Alexander J. Nesteruk, 22, of the 1600 block of Briarcliffe Boulevard, Wheaton, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. at Panfish Park, police said. He was charged with obstructing justice.

THURSDAY, AUG. 9

Driving Under the Influence

James P. Minogue, 20, of the 500 block of Summerdale Avenue, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Sunset Avenue, police said. Minogue was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.

Public Intoxication

Edward P. Schmeier, 51, of 703 W. Liberty St., Wheaton (DuPage PADS) was arrested at 3:14 p.m. at Prairie Path Park, police said. He was charged with public intoxication.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 8

Driving Under the Influence

Robert C. Perlman, 24, of the 400 block of Fort Gray Drive, Lewiston, KY, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. at IL Route 53 and Surrey Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence.

Criminal Damage

A resident in the 400 block of Longfellow Avenue reported at 4:45 a.m. that someone damaged a vehicle while it was parked in the driveway, police said.

Theft

• Someone in the 600 block of Duane Street reported at 8 a.m. that overnight an unknown person stole two garden gnomes from the front yard, police said.
• Police said someone reported at 11:32 p.m. that a bike valued under $500 was stolen while left unlocked in front of the main entrance at Walgreens, 324 Roosevelt Rd.

TUESDAY, AUG. 7

Theft

An employee at Caribou Coffee, 495 Roosevelt Rd., reported at 8:19 p.m. that someone stole several gift cards from a counter display without paying. The gift cards have no value until purchased. 

MONDAY, AUG. 6

Illegal Consumption

• Sarah C. Ford, 19, of the 1500 block of Jill Court, Glendale Heights, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at America’s Best Hotel, 675 Roosevelt Rd., police said. She was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
• Maria I. Dymbrowski, 19, of the 1300 block of North Leslie Lane, Glendale Heights, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at America’s Best Hotel, 675 Roosevelt Rd., police said. She was charged with possession of drug equipment, possession of cannabis—30 grams and under and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Criminal damage

Alexis P. Apacible, 38, of the 200 block of Surrey Drive, was arrested in the 200 block of Surrey Drive, police said. He was charged with criminal damage to property.

SUNDAY, AUG. 5

Theft

Police said it was reported at 6:46 p.m. at the BP, 339 Roosevelt Rd., that someone stole a carton of cigarettes.
