Pets of the Week: Two Nosey and Precious Cats

Every week Glen Ellyn Patch shares information on adoptable pets waiting for homes at area shelters and rescue groups.

Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. These week we share pets from the DuPage County Animal Care and Control. We welcome other animal shelters and rescue groups to contact us to participate in this weekly column. To participate, contact Glen Ellyn Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez.

Nosey and Precious

Cats are like potato chips…you can’t just have one! At least that is what Nosey and Precious thinks. Nosey and Precious came to DuPage County Animal Care and Control because their owner moved and couldn’t take them with. They then got a home together, but that owner had cat allergies and had to return them. Nosey and Precious are still looking for a home that will let them stay together. Nosey is a 5-year-old, neutered male and Precious is a 5-year-old spayed female. Precious is very calm and sweet. She loves to be around people. Nosey has become the shelter superstar. He has learned how to open the cat adoption room door and likes to let himself and his friends out. The shelter staff has him on video doing this and is quite impressed with his mad skills. We can see why Precious loves being his best friend. Together Nosey and Precious are an awesome pair. We guarantee that Nosey will open the door to your heart and Precious will follow right behind him!

Adoption fees at DuPage County Animal Care and Control are $100 for dogs.  Cat adoption fees are $50. For the holidays, the agency has a special program. Donate a pound of food and earn $2 off a cat adoption. The more you donate in weight, the less your fee. Adoption fees include the fee for the pet, the shots, microchip and registration. Other animals are available at the shelter, including rabbits and guinea pigs.
