Pets of the Week: Ready to Sit, Play and Purr
Looking for a new addition to your family? Check out these pets waiting for homes.
Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL (ARF) and the DuPage County Animal Care and Control. We welcome other animal shelters and rescue groups to contact us to participate in this weekly column. To participate, contact Glen Ellyn Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez.

Potter is an energetic guy with all sorts of puppy left in his full size body! He LOVES to chase balls and tries to fit two in his mouth at once! When it's windy, he even chases the leaves blowing past him in the yard. He is housetrained, crate trained, and reliably knows commands for sit, down, and come. He is quickly learning stay and we're starting on improving leash manners. Potter very much wants to play with every dog he meets, so he would do great in a home with another dog who likes to play!
Potter is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, house-broken, crate trained and neutered. His new family will be required to enroll him in a basic obedience course of their choosing. His adoption fee is $200.
Casey is a playful young lady with gorgeous green eyes! She really loves having her face rubbed. ARF rescued her from a kill shelter where she would have been euthanized. Casey would prefer to have a home without dogs, but other cats may be OK.
Fees for adoption are: dogs: $200; puppies: $225; cats: $110; kittens: $125, front paw declawed adults cats $125 unless otherwise noted.

Hey there.....STOP.....don’t pass me by! My name is Butter, and I am a nice, nice boy. I may have a tough look to me, but I’m a sweetheart! I am well behaved, have nice manners, walk nice on a leash, enjoy belly rubs and am a really good dog. I am ready to go, I am about 3 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I am looking for an adult household with no other animals. I’ll be your best friend, just give me a chance!
