Motorist Drives Through Grace Lutheran Church

Police officers report no serious injuries.

According to Deputy Police Chief Bill Holmer, the motorist was a 95-year-old man. 

Original report:

A motorist drove through the vestibule area of Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Ave., at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, according to Glen Ellyn Deputy Police Chief Bill Holmer.

The driver was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries, said Holmer. No other individuals were harmed during the incident.

"The cause appears to be driver error at this point," said Holmer.

A 95 yr old man is the equivalent of a 5 yr old child when it comes to driving a motor vehicle. How is this possibly allowed? Lucky no one was killed.
