LIVE: Memorial Lights: Plan Commissioners to Question District 87, Opposition Group

After completing the public comment section, it's now time for plan commissioners to ask questions about the proposal for Memorial Lights at Glenbard West High School.

Tonight will be a milestone for the Memorial Lights debate.

Now that the public comment section is complete, plan commissioners will be able to ask questions of Glenbard Township High School District 87 and members of Our Field, Our Town at tonight's plan commission meeting.

This means the issue is one step closer to be resolved, or at least completed at the plan commission level.

It's likely there will be three more meetings before it's handed over to the Village of Glen Ellyn Trustees, who will ultimately vote on the issue.

Tonight's plan commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center. Stay tuned to Patch for live updates during the meeting.

When will GE staff present their recommendations/report? Shouldn't this happen before the Commission starts their Q & A? Is it too much to ask that the paid GE planning staff present the zoning background of the property, the special use permit that D87 claims to have recieved at some point and a zoning analysis of how an actively programmed use complies with the CR zoning of this property?

I don't understand why the Village Planning staff did not testify, provide a report, and provide their recommendations to the plan commission.
