Leslie Coolidge Seeks 6th Congressional District

Barrington Hills Democrat hopes to challenge incumbent Peter Roskam, a Wheaton resident.

Leslie Coolidge of Barrington Hills is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 6th Congressional District, which includes all of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn.

Coolidge filed her petitions with the State Board of Elections Dec. 23, the first day for Congressional candidates to file.

A CPA, Coolidge said she’s running for the U.S. House of Representatives to "make government work more efficiently for everyone.”

“I first began thinking about running for Congress during the debt ceiling debacle when Congressmen like Peter Roskam, who currently represents this district, seemed to think only about politics and ideology and not about the damage a default on our obligations would do to the economy and nation as a whole. Their refusal until last week to pass payroll tax reduction legislation was just more of the same.”

Coolidge said she was concerned about the deep division between the two chambers of Congress and it's inability to "move the country forward." She said voters must elect representatives who are “focused on meeting the needs of all Americans rather than on politics.”

This is why politicians never change, they run on the negative platforms not "Real Change".

I know, for a fact you did not give any support to the Roskam Campaigns, from Duckworth, to Morganthaler, to Ben Lowe.

My question is have you, as a self described "Republican", given any time and money to other local Republicans and other Republican causes, other then self serving rhetoric here on the patch and elsewhere?.

For the record I'm a conservative. I like the Dan Lipinski and Randy Hultgren style politicians...you know people with a brain.

As far as giving time, I'm usually busy playing PS3.

In my book, you are the kind of "self proclaimed" Conservative that TAKES from the Republicans (uses it's organization, people, etc...) and never gives back. A political parasite, unreliable and unpredictable.

"A political parasite, unreliable and unpredictable."

Sounds like line from the movie TOP GUN.....but I like it.

So what PS3 games do you have?

Snarkie answers can't stop truth.

Lets be straight, Randy Hulgren is a good republican, who gives back to the party and community. Lipinski, on the other hand is not republican and not conservative and should never be linked in the same political group as Randy Hulgren.

And You - only take from the republicans for your own political benefit.

After one looks at the new gerrymandered map of the 6th district and it's ridiculous shape, and realizes that her party was responsible for this, and adds her silly statements about "make government work more efficiently for everyone", (silly because her party's idea of efficiently is spend every last penny ever made), she can be dismissed.

LH

Dan Lipinski (D) is pro-life, Mark Kirk (R) in pro-choice.

Dan Lipinski (D) is tougher on illegals than Rick Perry (R)

Why don't you explain to me your view of conservatism LH since you know all. Or you can continue your little jabs at me. Better yet why don't you come out of the closet.
