Hot at the Library in November!

What's new, what's featured and what you can get at the Glen Ellyn Public Library this month.

 

Hot new books from some favorite authors are in the library this month.  As always make sure to call or come in to secure a hold on these titles, they go fast.  Always check our hot picks selection for hard to find titles!

December 8, 1980 The Day John Lennon Died by Keith Elliot Greenberg.  Last month McCartney fans were given a book with the details of Paul McCartney's life story.  This month fans will get the minute-by-minute drama of the last day of John Lennon's life.  Following not only his day, but his friend's, family's and even his killer's day up until the minute that he was shot.  After this moment of tragedy the book goes on to describe the doctor's, friend's and America's reaction to this legend's untimely death.  Release date: 11/1/10

The Gourmet Cookie Book: The Single Best Recipe from Each Year 1941-2009 by Gourmet Magazine.  Just in time for the holidays comes a book with the best cookie recipes from the last 68 years of Gourmet Magazine.  Set up in order by year, you will find the best recipes for cookies such as Cajun Macaroons, Moravian White Christmas Cookies, Cranberry Turtle Bars and Lemon Sandwich Cookies.  With 68 great cookies to choose from, you are sure to have some holiday treats for one and all.  Release date: 11/2/10
