The Glenbard West Hilltoppers scored on their first two possessions but had to fight off a Libertyville Wildcat comeback in the third quarter.
Three big fourth quarter touchdowns iced the game and propelled the Hilltoppers to the quarterfinals of the Class 7A IHSA playoffs with a 38-10 win.
According to The Chicago Tribune, Glenbard West sacked Libertyville quarterback Jack Deichl nine times and forced three turnovers.
Libertyville finished the season 8-3. Glenbard West (11-0) will be back at home next week to face No. 5 Wheaton North. The official date and the time of the game will be released Monday.
