The Glenbard West Hilltoppers hit hard over the weekend and made their way to the IHSA 7A State Championships, beating Lake Zurich 19-13.
On Saturday, the Hilltoppers will take on Frankfort’s Lincoln-Way East in the 7A Championships being held at 4 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Champaign.
Now, the call is out for Hitter fans and Glen Ellyn residents to show support for the team.
A Facebook post, shared with Glen Ellyn Patch, is asking members of the community to wrap their trees in green and white to show support for the team as it makes its way to state.
We here at Patch want to provide a place where readers and fans can show their support for the Glenbard West Hilltoppers by leaving comments, posting photos and even videos offering positive motivation. Register on Patch and then add your comments, photos or videos.
Not sure how to upload? Send your photos to Mary Ann Lopez at maryl@patch.com. Be sure to include your name!
Let the Hitters know they have Glen Ellyn cheering them on as they head to State!

I see the trees downtown have ribbons on them. Show your support and add a comment or a photo!

My son is a senior at West and hasn't missed a game this year. We are so excited and he can't wait to carpool to watch them take the title! GO HITTERS!

Jennifer, there is also a fan bus for students who want to go to the game. We have details on the site, if you need them! Go Hitters!
