Glen Ellyn Police Make Underage Drinking Busts, Numerous Teens Charged
Teens were arrested and charged related to underage drinking in three separate incidents last week.
A number of teens were arrested and charged with underage drinking in Glen Ellyn last week in three separate incidents, according to police officials.
In addition to a driver who was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after crashing into a home Oct. 8, three teens who were occupants of the vehicle were also arrested and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to the Glen Ellyn Police Department.
Vladimir Popov, 17, of the 100 block of South Milton; Roger Ochoa Jr., 17, of the 400 block of North Garfield in Lombard; and Leonard Joanidh, 18, of the 1900 block of Lancaster Lane in Wheaton, were arrested Oct. 8 in the first block of South Park Boulevard.
Glen Ellyn Police Department Deputy Chief Bill Holmer said the teens were passengers in the SUV driven by Anne Page, 17, of Glen Ellyn.
Later in the week, police made arrests related to underage drinking and violation of liquor law occupant responsibility, according to police reports.
Two separate busts were made Oct. 11 at the same apartment complex. The first series of arrests was at 12:34 a.m. and the second round of arrests took place at 10:41 p.m., according to police. These arrests were made at 470 Raintree Court.
At 12:34 a.m., Glen Ellyn police arrested the following individuals and charged them with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor: Paul S. Minniti, 18, of the 300 block of Hillcrest, Lombard; Robert J. Minniti, 18, of the 300 block of Hillcrest, Lombard; and Amanda N. Moskos, 17, of the 3S200 block of Sequoia Drive.
At 10:41 p.m., Glen Ellyn police arrested Joseph S. Perri, 19, of the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue in Itasca, and charged him with possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis. Police also arrested Adam J. Budzinski, 20, of the 300 block of Theodore Lane, Itasca and Marco R. Bahena, 19, of the 500 block of Walters Lane, Itasca. Budzinski was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and Bahena was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
One teen was included in both rounds of arrests on Oct. 11. Police arrested Jessica N. Elste, 18, of the 400 block of Raintree Court at 12:34 a.m. and again at 10:41 p.m. She was initially charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and violation of liquor law occupant responsibility, and then charged with violation of the liquor law occupant responsibility in the second round of arrests.
