1. BOYS BASKETBALL RIVALRY

Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, 1920 S Wiesbrook Rd

Why Go: It's a cross-town rivalry—Falcons v. Tigers, North v. South—why not?

Pricing: Free

2. CLAYTON HEINRICH AT THE BANK RESTAURANT AND BAR

Where/When:  8 p.m. Friday at The Bank, 121 W. Front St.

Why Go: The Rockford American Idol appears in the bar.

Pricing: Dinner, drinks

3. DUPAGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT

Where/When: 3 p.m. Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville.

Why Go: The DuPage Symphony Orchestra celebrates the music of Sergei Prokofiev, featuring excerpts from his ballet "Romeo and Juliet," followed by “Kije’s Wedding” and the “Troika” from "Lt. Kije." The second half of the program offers the score from Sergei Eisenstein’s 1938 film "Alexander Nevsky."

Pricing: $28 for adults, $25 for seniors, $11 for students.

4. "TWENTIETH CENTURY" at WHEATON DRAMA

Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday at Wheaton Drama - Playhouse 111, 111 N Hale St.

Why Go: Wheaton Drama, Inc. presents Twentieth Century as its third show of the 2010-2011 season. Twentieth Century is adapted by Ken Ludwig from an original play by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.

Pricing: $13-16

6. VALENTINE'S CHOCOLATE BRUNCH

Where/When: 9:30 a.m., noon and 2:30 p.m. at Morton Arboretum, 4100 Lincoln Ave, Lisle.

Why Go: Enjoy a Valentine's brunch with a touch of chocolate throughout the whole meal. Event includes cash bar and live music.

Pricing: Members: $36, $25 children; non-members $42 and $30.

6. PLAY: "SPIKE HEELS"

Where/When: North Central College 7:30 p.m., Feb. 10, 11 and 12

Why Go: You love love and could think about it for hours on end. This is perfect for you, then. The show is described as "a perfect interlude for those who know what it's like to fall in and out of love."

Pricing: $3-$5

7. LIVE MUSIC AT ARROWHEAD 

Where/When: Arrowhead Golf Club Restaurant and Bar, 26W151 Butterfield Rd., Wheaton, Friday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, Feb. 12

Why Go: You love live music, food and people. They'll all be there. Jethro Riley Band performs Friday and Matt Hetrick performs Saturday. (Call 630-510-5070 to confirm performances and times)

8. "SHARE THE LOVE" GENTLY USED JEWELRY AND SCARF EXCHANGE

Where/When: Ten Thousand Villages, 499 Pennsylvania Ave, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137, Saturday, Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Donate old jewelry and scarves to a cause and receive 15 percent off purchases. All "Share the Love" donations go to Poised For Success of Lombard (wwwpoisedforsuccess.net).
