Glenbard District 87 will honor 17 its employees who have been chosen to receive Distinguished Service Awards for their exceptional service to students and the district, and their embodiment of the district's excellence, according to a District 87 news release.

Distinguished Service Award recipients for 2013 include:  

Certified staff

Stefanie Geeve, Paul Hass, Chad Hetlet, Leland Livingston, Jeremy Meisinger, Jennifer Opatrny, Michael Roethler, Donna Slusher, Alicia Washburn and Alby Zander

Non-certified staff

Betty Aguirre, Nate Dhamers and Sandy Schumann

Administrator

Josh Chambers, Chris McClain and Jane Thorsen

Community partner

Dawn Zatt

District 87 will honor the award recipients during a ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Glenbard South High School, 23W200 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn. A pre-ceremony concert featuring the Glenbard South string quartet will begin at 6:30 p.m.
