Glen Ellyn has gone from having no yogurt shops to having two in the space of a few months.

Last fall, SkinnySweet Frozen Yogurt opened along Roosevelt Road. More recently a new yogurt shop has opened in downtown Glen Ellyn. Bon Yogurt has opened next to Einstein Bagels.

The shop is owned by Glen Ellyn resident Rosann Brownstein. During January, the business is celebrating its grand opening with a special discount. Customers can ask at the store about the discount.

The store’s opening took longer than anticipated because the renovations required to update the building were more extensive than expected, according to a news release from Bon Yogurt.

Brownstein worked with an expert to create the yogurt, which uses natural ingredients, according to the news release.

To date, the shop has received mixed reviews on Yelp.

Along with offering frozen yogurt, Bon Yogurt also offers smoothies, which can be infused with spirulina, alfalfa and green barley.
