Baseball Bat Beating in Glen Ellyn Leads to Battery Charges

A Glen Ellyn man faces felony aggravated battery charges after he allegedly beat another man in the head with a baseball bat Tuesday, police say.

 

A Glen Ellyn man faces aggravated battery charges after he allegedly beat a man in the head several times with a baseball bat, according to a press release from the Glen Ellyn Police Department.

Police responded to a call reporting two men fighting in the 300 block of Duane Street around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. When police arrived the 39-year-old victim was "bruised and bleeding from the head," according to the release. The victim was transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital.

Witnesses reported another resident had struck him with a baseball bat. Police arrested Joseph Martinez, 39. He was taken to DuPage County Jail, according to the release. He remains at the jail with a $20,000 bond.

How will the "gun grabbers" respond to this act? Try and closet it under 2nd amendment which they want to eliminate ??

If someone was to attack me with a bat I would hope it would be a player from the Cubs. I wouldn't have to worry about getting hit. Maybe I would grab the bat and hit the balls over the fence.
