Few places seem more "Glen Ellyn" than Barone's, the downtown restaurant that's served up food to the community since 1971. If you've moved away, chances are it's one of the first places you visit when you come back.

Barone's of Glen Ellyn's special factor, and good food, caught the attention of the WGN show "Chicago's Best." The show features all the best places of Chicago and the suburbs, and at 10 p.m. on May 6, WGN will feature Barone's pizza. 

On Tuesday evening, the daughter of Chicago's beloved football player, Walter Payton, visited Barone's with producers to shoot the show. Brittney stepped into the kitchen to cook up a thin- and stuffed-crust pizza with the owner. This isn't Glen Ellyn's first time on "Chicago's Best." Brittney Payton shined the spotlight on Thipi Thai earlier this year for the best places of the western suburbs.

The village is receiving lots of press, lately. Just last week, a Glen Ellyn home was featured on the "Today Show," NBC's national morning show, and a comment the realtor made on air had many buzzing on Glen Ellyn Patch's Facebook page.
