Police Blotter: Air Rifles, Felony Possession, Busted Scam
Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, March 4-March 9
SATURDAY, MARCH 9
Jeffrey J. Jankowski, 42, of the first block of Valley Road, Glen Ellyn, was charged with public intoxication at 2:50 p.m. on the 200 block of South Milton Avenue.
FRIDAY, MARCH 8
Jordan Alexander Young, 20, of the 3000 block of Crystal Rock Road, Naperville, and Darnell Johnson Jr., 19, of the 800 block of Foxworth Boulevard, Lombard, were charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. The incident occurred at 10:15 p.m. on the 300 block of Larch Lane. Marquis R. Jones, 19, of the 300 block of Larch, received an ordinance violation for adult occupancy responsibility.
Someone stole a V-Tech brand cordless phone from a store on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Road. The incident was reported at 5:35 p.m. and occurred sometime between Jan. 26 and 29. The phone was valued under $500.
London Ettione Dunbar, 23, of the 900 block of Ryan Road, Pullmana, MI, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis. The arrest took place at 4:20 a.m. on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road.
THURSDAY, MARCH 7
Unlawful Discharge of Air Rifles
The following men were charged with unlawful discharge of air rifles:
- Matthew G. Brown, 19, of the 3500 block of Vanilla Grass Drive, Naperville
- Tyler C. Franklin, 20, of the first block of Grove Avenue, Glen Ellyn
- David J. Roudebush, 20, of the 1800 block of Pampas Circle, Bolingbrook
The incident occurred at 5:46 p.m. on the first block of Grove Avenue.
Robert A. Walensa, 56, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive, Wheaton, was charged at 5:20 p.m. with criminal trespass to property at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane Street.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6
A man at 2:37 p.m. on the 500 block of Greenbriar Road reported receiving a telephone call from a man claiming to be from the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. The man, who identified himself as "Bill Low" said the resident had won a new car and $1 million. The man was told to bring $2,900 worth of prepaid gift cards to a meeting location to receive the prize money and vehicle. "The complainant recognized this to be a scam and told the caller he would not meet him," said the police report for this incident.
Pump and Run
Someone pumped $62.82 worth of gasoline into a white vehicle and left without paying at 1:57 p.m. from a gas station on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road.
Trevor J. Llamas, 20, of the first block of Valley Road, Glen Ellyn, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at 4:50 p.m. on the same block.
TUESDAY, MARCH 5
Jordan Vogel, 23, of the 500 block of Pershing Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 2:18 a.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol on the 400 block of Roosevelt Road.
MONDAY, MARCH 4
- Napoleon L. Lawson, 21, of the 500 block of Pershing Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:59 p.m. on the same block.
- Cory Prescott Spencer, 19, of the 21W500 block of North Avenue, Lombard, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred at 12:05 p.m. at the intersection of Chidester Avenue and Riford Road. Spencer was also charged with a DuPage County Sheriff's warrant for failure to appear for a traffic offense.
Joseph W. Lichon, 20, of the first block of North Lake Road, Third Lake, Ill., was charged with felony possession of cannabis over 30 grams, possession of drug equipment and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Lichon was arrested at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Park Boulevard and Sheehan Avenue.
