8,000 ComEd Customers Lose Power
On Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., 8,000 ComEd customers lost power. Currently, 1,800 customers in the Glenbard region are still without power.
Around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 8,000 Commonwealth Edison customers lost power in Glen Ellyn, Lombard and Wheaton.
ComEd restored power to 6,200 of those customers in the area at 8 p.m.
ComEd is working to identify the cause of the outage and will have the remaining 1,800 customers back online as quickly as possible, according to a spokesperson.
