Glen Ellyn/Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute Begins Year with Vino
The September 14, Glen Ellyn/Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute Coffee and Dessert meeting at the Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn surprised the
over 175 members and guests with a tribute to art and wine. The program titled, “Visualizing Viticulture Vessels and Venues,” was presented by Woman’s Board Fellow for the Art Institute Museum Education Department, Terah Walkup. She guided the audience through illustrations of the earliest vessels used for wine to a venue depicted in an American artist’s painting of joyful drinkers in a famous wine bar and restaurant.
Cheryl Groth, Chairman for the 2011-2012 membership year of the Community Associates welcomed the large group of guests and members who came to the meeting.
