Glen Crest Middle School’s Math Team began their competitive season with big wins at the Montini High School Regional Math Competition the middle of November.  The middle school team consists of fifteen members with five matheletes from each grade level, 6th, 7th and 8th.  Each math team member from Glen Crest participated in their respective grade levels against seventeen other schools’ teams. 
    Members of the 6th grade Glen Crest team are Vishal Aiely, Kaitlyn O’Keefe, Mary Kate Cooke, Omer Sheikh and Michael Zima.  They finished third in team competition.
    Glen Crest 7th grade competitors finished first in their team competition.  Team members are Hadiya Alfazal, Luke Angelillo, Matt Sampey, Sean Roth and Sophie Bair.
    The 8th grade math team posted a second place win in the team competition. The 8th grade team was represented by Andrew Pen, Michael Strohl, Justin O'Keefe, and Arjun Singh.
    Monica Shekar, Glen Crest math teacher is the team sponsor and she is very excited about the level of math excellence her matheletes have shown.  She sees great things coming up for them in future competitions.
