College of DuPage Student Trustee Kristin Lodygowski of Naperville puts the finishing touches on a holiday card for a patient at the Hines Veterans Hospital Hospice Center. Lodygowski raised hundreds of dollars from businesses within District 502 to create care packages for nearly two dozen terminally ill patients at the facility. Inspired by her father’s battle with cancer and his fellow patients at Hines, Lodygowski and volunteers, including Justin Lemay (Elmhurst), Brianne Paver (Warrenville) and Sarah Babos (Darien) traveled to the Hospice Center to visit and deliver stuffed animals, cards and baked goods to patients.
