Note for Hadley students: There is major construction along Hawthorne Blvd. and in the Hadley parking lot. Please stay safe and avoid construction areas. To get to Hadley, please use Glencoe Ave. and park on one of the residential streets right off of Glencoe. Enter the Hadley campus from Glencoe; walk across the field and enter the building through Door 24 on the west side of the building just past the portables. Directional signage will be posted.
Information you’ll be asked to provide: Registration information and forms may be accessed on www.d41.org/registration.htm. Forms may also be obtained from the Central Services Office at 793 N. Main, Glen Ellyn, or at the schools on the dates listed above. You’ll need to provide a certified copy of your child’s government-issued birth certificate, along with three items that show that you live within District 41: you’ll need one document such as a signed lease, closing statement or real estate bill; and two documents such as driver’s license or utility bill.
Homeless students: Homeless students have the right to be registered for school even if they are missing documents normally required for enrollment. Students who may be eligible for homeless services include those who are living in a shelter, motel, vehicle or campground, on the street, in an inadequate accommodation, doubled up with friends or relatives; or waiting for foster-care placement. Information on education rights of homeless students is posted on www.d41.org, may be obtained from your school or from the district Homeless Liaison Geri Adkins, (630) 534-7340.
Note: Students transferring into District 41 from another Illinois public school are required to present a completed Illinois State Transfer form from their previous school with the registration materials.
Other important dates:
Tuesday, Aug. 14: Hadley Start Up.
Tuesday, Aug. 21: Elementary school “Meet and Greet,” 2:30-3:30 p.m. This is a chance for you and your child to visit the classroom and meet the teacher. It’s a great way to help your child become comfortable and reduce the start of school stress.
Wednesday, Aug. 22: First day of school for K through 8
Monday, Aug. 27: First day of school for preschool programs.
