Community Associates Study Group Honors Cora Chin
Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute is an organization that has a membership of over 300 active members. They are connected to the Art Institute of Chicago through lecture series, field trips, tours and education programs. One of the most important education programs this organization sponsors is the Art Study Group. Members sign up every year for this monthly afternoon program and each year an art study theme is chosen. Long time Community Associate and Wheaton resident Cora Chin has helped coordinate this activity for twelve years.
Chin has been a program presenter, program coordinator and program organizer. She decided next year to become involved in another aspect of the Associates so she bid farewell to the Study Group coordinator responsibility. The Associates Chairman, Wheaton resident Cheryl Groth presented Chin with a bouquet at the May afternoon luncheon of the Study Group. The luncheon was held at the Morton Arboretum and over 80 members congratulated Chin on a job well done.
