College of DuPage, NIU is coming to you March 15!
Northern Illinois University will host an undergraduate admissions information session at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill. from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15.
Prospective students and their families will have the chance to learn more about the opportunities awaiting them at Northern Illinois University; discover the next steps to admission, financial aid, and scholarship awards; and receive information on NIU’s “Research Rookies” program, “Themed Learning Communities” and other engaged learning opportunities.
Kitty McCarthy, associate vice president of student affairs and enrollment management at NIU, says this is a tremendous opportunity for students considering NIU to have questions answered by representatives.
“Even students and families who live a relatively short distance from the NIU campus have busy, busy schedules and it's hard to find the time to get back to campus,” she says. “Many of these students have visited campus once, twice or even more and may just need some final questions answered. It's good service for NIU representatives to go to them.”
Students may bring in their official transcripts and complete an application to receive an on-the-spot decision regarding admission. Interested students and families may register for the event on the NIU Undergraduate Admissions website, http://www.niu.edu/admissions/cod/index.shtml.
