COD College Theater Presents ‘A Christmas Carol’ Nov. 23 to Dec. 2
“Men's courses will foreshadow certain ends, to which, if persevered in, they must lead. But if the courses be departed from, the ends will change. Say it is thus with what you show me!” – Ebenezer Scrooge
Amid the revelry of the holiday season, Ebenezer Scrooge will realize that while he can’t change the past, he can alter his future.
Join College of DuPage College Theater for “A Christmas Carol,” being staged at 7 p.m. Friday to Sunday, Nov. 23 to Dec. 2, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24 and 25 and Dec. 1 and 2, in the Building K Theater at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
Directed by Amelia Barrett, this holiday classic is an adaptation by William J. Norris who originated the role of Scrooge for the Goodman Theatre.
College Theater’s biennial production of Dickens’ classic chronicles Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey of self-discovery as he revisits his past to rewrite his fate. As the sour and stingy bachelor realizes the mistakes of his youth, he learns the power of kindness to transform the lives of those around him.
A pre-show discussion will be held at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23. A post-show discussion is scheduled following the Friday, Nov. 30, performance.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for seniors, College of DuPage students and children 17 and younger.
